I like my patients to be as active and physically fit prior to surgery as they can be, because after surgery I need them to relax for about 2 weeks and then slowly ramp up to the normal activities. After about 3-4 weeks I think incidental trauma usually doesn't cause issues however trauma to the breast (even without fat graft) can leave a lump of internal scar. I would watch that and consider an imaging study if this does not resolve. Best Wishes!!

That should be ok. The surgery you are having is not one that limits the ability to walk around. The pain level is usually pretty reasonable and you will be over 2 weeks after the procedure. What to watch out for is blood clots in your legs from not walking around. During your long flight, consider wearing compression stockings and make sure to get up and walk around to prevent issues. The most important details for safety with surgery is your health -and not your age. These surgeries are not really stressful to your heart so it really depends on really your overall health. Definitely get a medical evaluation "clearance" for surgery from your primary physician. In our office, that "clearance" anesthesia requires of everyone over age 40. Best Wishes!!

Well I think what I would recommend, just put in the implants and let things heal and settle. A small lift later may be needed, but depending on the size, it may round out enough and additional scars could be avoided. An alternative is a device call InMode BodyTite that actually can be used to elevate breast tissue and nipple position to the degree that a lift could be avoided completely. Best Wishes!!
