In addition, if you have a history of cold sores, your provider will likely prescribe a course of a prophylactic anti-viral medication (Valtrex) to take when you have lip filler performed to reduce the risk of a cold sore developing.

While the Dysport injection targeted the masseter muscles, it is possible that the toxin migrated to adjacent muscles involved in smiling, resulting in a temporary change in your smile.
