Small areas of delayed wound healing or suture extrusion, though not ideal, can certainly occur, especially with surgeries like abdominoplasties where there is some tension on the wound. It is difficult to tell from your pictures, but if there is a suture working its way out, you should see your surgeon for an assessment, as he/she could help clean the wound and remove the suture. Your pictures only demonstrate the slightest and most subtle difference, most certainly attributable to normal postoperative asymmetry due to differential swelling. It is also possible that your breasts were asymmetric in volume before they were augmented. Either way, you should allow another 3 or more months to go by before getting a sense of your final cosmetic result.

It is unlikely that the breasts will look closer or bigger as the implants and skin settle over the next few months. If anything, they will look slightly smaller due to resolution of swelling. Thank you for your questions and photos. At one week, it is still too early to judge the symmetry and final cosmesis of the surgery. Please allow another 2-3 months before worrying about a revision, and even then, most plastic surgeons wouldn’t consider performing a revision until 6+ months after surgery, as things can still change during these months.
I have lumps and bruises after lipo. Should I be concerned?

The expected recovery from liposuction is 4-6 months, with associated swelling and sometimes contour irregularities. Three days is much too early to judge the results. As for the bruising, you should expect for it to take 2-3 weeks to subside.

Hello and thank you for your question. It is unfortunate that there seems to have been an issue with miscommunication. However, if it is any consolation, early research is now showing that ALCL (anaplastic large cell lymphoma) may be more highly associated with textured rather than smooth implants. Also, smooth implants do not require daily massage.

Using an implant 1cm narrower than your base width will be more than adequate given your C-cup breast. You should have no concerns about this. They will look great! 🙂
