This is an excellent question and a very common issue after breast augmentation. Placement of implants beneath the breasts will lead to stretching of the nerves that supply sensation to the overlying skin and even the nipples. Hypersensitivity, and even sometimes hyposensitivity, is quite common. Excellent question, and one that I hear quite often in my practice--once the post-operative discomfort fades, patients tend to do more than they really should and can cause small problems.
