Problems with fillers

Dear Flint,

Fillers cause many problems when used under the eyes and especially on the cheek to camouflage festoons and malar mounds/bags.

I've had success using lasers to help improve these conditions.
I'll include some links below.

Lower lid fullness
Jun 15, 2020
Dear Jazz,Without photos its hard to diagnose your condition. It sounds like you are describing lower lid bags due to fat pushing forward into the lower eyelid space. This can occur in young people in certain families and can make a person appear tired when they feel fine inside.Best option for this is surgery to remove or relocate the fat in this area.I hope this was helpful.

Bags under the eyes
Jan 22, 2020
Dear      Andy ,
It appears that you have evidence of fullness in the lower eyelid region. This happens often as we age.
These changes can make a person appear tired, sick and older even when they feel fine inside.
The best options would be surgery to remove or relocate the fat in this region. Fillers could help to camouflage the bags but surgery is the more definitive option.
Best to seek out an Oculoplastic Specialist in your area.

Lower Lid Festoons
Jan 22, 2020
Festoons and malar mounds have been a frustration for surgeons for many years. Thanks to the initial work of Dr. Sterling Baker (a person with whom I trained) and my own improvement and refinement on that work over the last decade, I now have a sophisticated, technically-challenging but effective treatment for festoons and malar mounds.
Many people don’t fully understand or recognize the differences between these two conditions. The first difference is in their cause or etiology; festo...

Smiling Eyes

Dear Vancouver,It appears you have sun damaged skin that wrinkles when you smile. Botox can help crows feet and lower lid wrinkles but when only one area is treated, it makes the other more noticeable. This is likely what happened with your recent treatment. For formal treatment of this area would be surgery to remove or relocate the fat in this area and I like using lasers to improve past sun damage in the skin beneath the lower lid.I'll include some links below. I hope this was helpful.
