Complex Eyelid (and not so complex Lip lift) case:
1. Upper eyelids are droopy, right more than left.
2. She wants to keep her own natural, “crowded” eyelid appearance.
3. Brows are low, which can manipulate eyelid position and skin distribution.
4. Raising the eyelids and brows can change the eyelid position and skin distribution, so achieving symmetric results while also maintaining a similar eyelid show appearance can be challenging, especially in an asymmetric case.
Goals achieved:
- raised the upper eyelids and brows
- placed the eyelids in a symmetric position
- improved the upper eyelid contour
- maintained the upper eyelid show by removing precise, and different, amounts of skin on each side
The lip lift was straight-forward.
Some details on Eyelid and Lip lift surgery:
- sutures are typically taken out the following week.
- bruising usually lasts 1-2 weeks.
- any and all of these procedures can be done awake or with some twilight sedation.
This patient is less than 1 month out from her surgery and is looking pretty fantastic.
