Results are only 3 weeks after surgery! This patient has had too many skin cancers to count, and his scalp already had shortage of skin, extremely limited mobility, and compromised healing even prior to our surgery. A modified pinwheel flap was performed to close the defect. He will only continue to improve, and his hair will grow back beautifully from when it was shaved for surgery.
Goals achieved:
- preserved his hair and its design
- skull bone is completely covered and at no risk for exposure
- preserved his scalp contour
