Ms. Treated With Earlobe Repair Image With Dr Adrian E. House, MD, Menlo Park, California

This patient came to me after years of wearing heavy earrings had caused her piercing sites to stretch. Her wedding is coming up which will require her to wear very heavy earrings for several days in a row. Knowing this, we closed her previous elongated piercing site and repierced it 2 months later.

1. Pre:
In the initial image, you can see the elongated and stretched earlobe piercing that required correction.

2. 1 Week Post:
Just one week after the procedure, the transformation was already evident. The Prolene sutures, which are the least reactive suture material, were removed just before the photo was taken. The patient's earlobe was healing beautifully, with no discomfort or bruising.

3. 8 Weeks Post:
At the 8-week mark, we achieved remarkable results. I have all my patients apply @biocorneum_official silicone scar gel with SPF 30 to minimize scarring, and the earlobe healed perfectly.

4. New Beginnings:
In the final image, you'll see the patient's earlobe immediately after piercing in the office. The choice to re-pierce with a @tiniluxjewelry brand earring is key as they are extremely light and made of the most inert metals that can be used in the body.

This journey exemplifies the power of selecting the right materials, using atraumatic techniques, and following through with appropriate postop care. I take pride in applying the same attention to detail from earlobe repairs to facelifts, as I know how important the results are to my patients.
