Why doesn’t laser hair removal work for me?

You will need more sessions of treatment. I have seen many patients that needed upwards of 12-20 treatments to get a true reduction with lasting results. These treatments should be done 6 weeks apart. Waiting a full 2 months, especially if you are seeing growth is too long between treatments.
Although rare, it is possible to be resistant to treatment.

Hydrafacial is a fantastic treatment! It can help to hydrate the skin, cleanse the pores, exfoliate, and add moisture back into the skin. This is not a permanent solution and treatments should be done every 4-6 weeks, but provide great results. This along with good and consistent homecare routine should help. See a licensed esthetician or board certified dermatologist to see what would be best for you.

Sculptra could be a great option for you as I use Sculptra for this purpose often. It is hard to tell without photos if you would be a good candidate or not. Typical side effects are bruising and swelling and lumpiness can occur, but much less likely when done by an experienced provider. Find a provider with a lot of experience using Sculptra and I believe you will see a great result!

We have seen better results with the diode vs. IPL when it comes to hair removal. Although, for fair and light skin types the alexandrite results beat out both IPL and diode laser. I recommend finding an experienced provider that can explain to you the differences and give you the best results. Searching for the deals will not always provide the best results.

I would highly recommend starting with a neuromodulator treatment such as botox, dysport, or jeuveau to soften those lines. Starting now will prevent those lines from getting deeper. I would start there and also get on a medical grade skincare regime to help keep up with your skin at home including using a daily SPF. You may also benefit from laser resurfacing or a series of chemical peels.

Microneedling vs Erbium laser for scar resurfacing?

It is hard to answer your question without seeing you in person. Both treatments can be good for scarring depending on the scar. I would recommend seeing a board certified plastic surgeon to go over the best options for you. I would recommend that before having any of those treatments, if you are prone to cold sores, to prevent getting a flare up by starting an anti-viral medication before treatment.

IPL is a fantastic treatment for sun and age spots. Talk to your doctor about this treatment to see if its right for you. You should get great results! This treatment will pull the pigment up to the surface of the skin so the spots will get darker before flaking off within 7-14 days. Usually a series of 4-6 is needed.

Based on your photo, these scars look quite deep. I would recommend seeing a board certified dermatologist or plastic surgeon to asses the area and go over options with you. If these are caused by ingrown hair from shaving the area, I recommend laser hair removal so that you are not having to shave so often. This will reduce ingrown hair as well as irritation caused by shaving.
