How Do I Get Rid of Eye Bags?
Getting rid of Eye Bags
Nov 30, 2017
Eyelid surgery is often the best and most permanent way to get rid of lower lid eye bags, especially if the eye bags are large and prominent. If you have mild eye bags, filling the hollow beneath the eye bags with filler can often camouflage them. Most fillers used around the eyes are not permanent. If loose skin is causing the bags, skin tightening with a laser can also be performed and this is usually a long lasting treatment.
What causes under eye puffiness?
Lower Lid Puffiness
Nov 30, 2017
There are several factors that can lead to loosening of the skin and puffiness of the lower lids. Aging is the most significant cause but other issues can contribute as well. Frequent eyelid rubbing can loosen the delicate tissues of the eyelids. Sun damage can cause fine lines and wrinkles. Anything that causes the eyes to swell repeatedly, such as allergies, trauma, or heavy salt intake can also cause sagginess. Stress alone is probably not a top cause for sagging of the eyelid skin….

Are fluid sacs under eyes appearing 10 years post blepharoplasty reversible?
Jun 27, 2017
These look like malar bags, otherwise known as festoons. Anything causing fluid retention around the eyes will make them worse, such as allergies or increased salt intake. They can’t be drained because the fluid is dispersed throughout the skin. They are most commonly hereditary and are likely not related to your lower lid blepharoplasty. Malar bags are difficult to treat and treatment is either surgical excision of the skin which can leave a (usually…

What’s the best solution for hereditary under eye bags?
Jun 27, 2017
Thank you for your question. For a more permanent solution, you can consider surgical removal of the fat that is causing the under eye bags. This is called a transconjunctival blepharoplasty and is done from the inside of the eyelid so there are no visible scars on the skin.
For a temporary improvement, a filler in the hollows below the bags can make them much less noticeable. Fillers can last up to 1 year, sometimes longer. Good luck!

Thank you for your question. You do not need to discontinue spray tans before or after your Juvederm filler injections.
Internal ptosis. Another surgery? Would I have to pay?
Droopy Upper Lid Skin after Internal Ptosis Surgery
Mar 16, 2017
Hello,
You most likely had an internal ptosis repair. Internal ptosis repair can tighten the muscles in the eyelids to lift them higher. This is a separate procedure from a blepharoplasty, which removes excess eyelid skin. If you don’t have a skin incision then you probably did not have a blepharoplasty and this could be why your eyelids are still droopy and heavy feeling. A blepharoplasty can be covered by insurance if the eyelid skin interferes with your vision significantly. If…

Removing skin from eyelid after posterior ptosis surgery
Mar 16, 2017
Hello,
If the “hump” you are referring to is the small amount of excess skin towards the inner corner on the left upper lid, that can be removed with a small in office procedure. This procedure however will not fix your other concerns – it will not relax your high left eyebrow and will not resolve your eyelash ptosis.
At 2 weeks post-op for upper blepheroplasty, do my incisions appear to be healing properly? (photos
Healing Blepharoplasty Incisions
Feb 23, 2017
Dear JadeBeads, at two weeks out from surgery, most blepharoplasty incisions should be well healed. I would see your surgeon for some ophthalmic antibiotic ointment to put on the incisions until the skin is healed over and no longer oozing. If you can’t see the dissolvable stitches, have your surgeon or his or her nurse remove them for you. Once they are removed the skin inflammation should settle down.
How Much Does Eyelid Surgery Cost?
Cost of Blepharoplasty Surgery
Feb 23, 2017
At our office, the cost of upper lid blepharoplasty is $2,400 when it is performed in the office surgery suite under local anesthesia and oral sedation. The cost of lower lid blepharoplasty is $2,600 and combined upper and lower lid blepharoplasty is $4,000. Expect to add $1,500-$2,000 for IV sedation if done in a surgical suite with an anesthesiologist present.
Why didn’t my lower lid Bleph not work on my right eye? It’s actually worse a year later.
Right lower lid puffiness after blepharoplasty
Feb 7, 2017
Both tear trough fillers or a revision right lower lid blepharoplasty would likely improve the appearance of the right lower lid. Revision blepharoplasty to remove or reposition residual fat would be the longest lasting treatment for this.

Bumps after Eyebrow lift
Feb 7, 2017
One cause for bumps above the eyebrow could be an anchoring implant or even sutures elevating the brows. Some implants are absorbable and will melt away on their own but this can take 3+ months. At one week postop, there is still significant inflammation and swelling of tissues so allow time for everything to heal. Follow up with your surgeon if your concerns do not resolve.

Try 5FU/Kenalog first
Feb 7, 2017
5FU/Kenalog injection can be tried first, as this is the more conservative treatment. If the hordeolum does not resolve after the injection, excision and drainage can be performed. Waiting longer does not make it more difficult to remove. If you are concerned about the cosmetic outcome, see an oculoplastic surgeon to treat it.
Can Asymmetric Eyes or Eyebrows Be Fixed?
Eyebrow and Eyelid Asymmetry
Dec 7, 2015
We all have asymmetries in our face, eyebrows and eyelids and a low eyebrow can make an eye look smaller. Eyebrow asymmetry can often be improved with a brow lift, depending on the specific anatomy of your face. Your plastic surgeon should be able to tell you what is and what is not achievable. Brow lifts are usually done as an outpatient surgery with incisions hidden in the hairline. Please see the link below for examples.
I had upper and lower bleph 2.5 months ago. Will this scar fill in?
Scar Indentation
Oct 21, 2015
Scars can take up to 12 months or longer to mature and heal completely. During that time they flatten, soften and fade. The appearance of your scar and indentation will likely improve with time. If the depression does not resolve on its own after the scar is completely healed, a hyaluronic acid filler (such as Juvederm, Restylane or Belotero) can be used to fill the indentaion.
