This active middle-aged woman presented with the concerns of constant eye bags under her eyelids. She stated that even with sufficient sleep at night, she would always notice "puffiness" that could not be concealed with makeup. She was bothered by the fact that her friends and family were always asking why she appeared so tired. During consultation exam, we noted significant protrusion of the fat underneath both eyelids. We also noted the excessive hooding of skin above her eyes as well. We decided to perform a total eye rejuvenation by selecting both the upper and lower eyelift (blepharoplasty) procedures.
Under local anesthesia and mild oral sedation with xanax, both procedures were performed in under two hours in our Center.
Her results demonstrate elimination of her fat bags below the eyes, as well as reduction of the overhang skin that was above her eyes previously. Makeup application was much easier for her. She felt that she appeared much more well rested while maintaining a natural look. (Apr 14, 2020)
